Our Unique Service Offerings

With a focus on problem-solving skills, critical thinking and ability to research independently, we strive towards preparing our learners for the outside world. Taking initiative and responsibility, self-motivation and self-discipline form the basis for a forward-thinking and professional learning environment.

Our small classes and individual attention means that each child works through the curriculum at their own pace. Focusing on each learner’s strengths and learning styles, our professional teachers are available for extra support during the school morning, making additional support beyond school hours necessary only in very extreme circumstance.

ODYSSEY ACADEMY’S CURRICULUM

As a registered independent school, we offer the comprehensive CAPS curriculum as handed down by the Department of Education which is followed by every government and private school in South Africa.

Our learners in Grades 10, 11 and 12 are all registered with our accreditation body SACAI (South African Comprehensive Assessment Institute).

Our grade 12s complete their National Senior Certificate through SACAI which is accredited by Umalusi and accepted by all tertiary institutions in South Africa and Internationally.

ODYSSEY ACADEMY’S HOURS AND TERMS

At Odyssey Academy our school hours are from Monday – Friday 08:00 to 13:30.

We follow the private school terms, meaning our major holidays are in April and August with half terms in between.
